Sarah Lynn

Scheerger

Sarah is a children’s book author as well as a school-based mental health provider. She started writing as a convenient excuse to avoid laundry, and admittedly has gotten a little carried away. She writes picture books as well as middle-grade and young adult novels. Her middle grade novel, “Operation Frog Effect”, is nominated for four regional award lists (2020-2021 Sunshine State Young Readers Award nominee, nominated for 2020-2021 Maryland Black Eyed Susan, Surrey Schools Book of The Year selection 2020-2021, nominated for VA READS 20-21 list). Sarah’s new release, “How to Live on the Edge” is a YA about teens living in the shadow of the BRCA gene mutation. As a school-based clinician, she loves incorporating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in the classroom and in her writing. She has extension activities that incorporate SEL on he website.
